Day 29 - 5/4/10

Yes, I would allow my students to use Wikipedia in their research, but I would not allow them to cite it. Wikipedia is a great resource to start papers and get a general idea of a subject, but then students must follow the links and resources to find the actual source of the information.

Day 28 - 4/29/10

The website I have chosen to validate is Feline Reactions to Bearded Men. The article is on the website Improbably Research, which is a website that has humorous scientific articles. The subject of the article is also ridiculous, so it is likely that it is not true. There is a long list of authors that I could not find information on. The bibliography lists Madonna, Sinead O'Connor, Arnold Schwartzenegger, and Doctor Suess as researchers in the field of cat research. Based on these, the information on the website is not reliable.
